Regarded by many as one Elvis’ best songs, Kentucky Rain was recorded and released in the second half of his career by which time he had moved from that very 50’s / early 60’s rock and roll sound to a more mature selection of music..

Personally, I am much more of a fan of this stuff that he did from about 1968 onwards and I think that this is a great example of his work during that era.
