As indicated a few days ago, I am a great fan of the Sgt Pepper album and whilst I am a strong advocate of listening to the entire album from start to finish, there are some absolute gems in amongst the album.

Good Morning, Good Morning is notable for its peculiar time signatures throughout the song – some 5/4, some 4/4 and even some 3/4 thrown in for good measure.

One piece of trivia – it is said that the animal noises that are found at the start and end of the song are sequenced so that each animal was capable of eating (or at least frightening) the one immediately before it in the sequence.
