This song was best known for it’s appearance in the 1985 movie – St Elmo’s Fire. The song was originally written for a disabled Canadian athlete, Rick Hansen, who was travelling around the world in his wheelchair to raise awareness about spinal cord injuries. His tour was known as the Man In Motion tour, which is why the song is often sub-titled with that phrase.
In my mind, you hear this song and you remember what you were you were doing in the mid-1980’s – just like tomorrow’s number 29!
