How this never made the charts amazes me. Several singers have declared this to my be the quintessential love song, beautifully written and performed by Mark Knopfler and Dire Straits. Tapping into Shakespearean literature and bringing a contemporary story line to a fantastic melody, it’s not hard to see why Knopfler is held up as one of the greats of his era. And we’re not finished with him yet.
