This song is the last one in the countdown from the Sgt Pepper album and what a beauty it is.
The two quite distinct theories on what the song is about – one is about a picture that John’s son Julian brought home from kindergarten and the other supporting the use of LSD – tend to override the discussion about what a great song this is. Musically complex, lyrically colourful and part of the fabric that makes up the whole Sgt Pepper experience.
But my reason for including it as my favourite track from the album is all to do with my girl with the sun in her eyes – she knows who she is 🙂
